Play is open to students of NRSD and surrounding towns. 

Players of all skill levels welcome!

Instructional goals by level include:

Introductory Level. Students new to the game receive instruction on:
* the roles of the playing pieces

* the organization of the board, and

* basic game strategies

Recreational Level. Students with fundamental to advanced understanding of chess enjoy:

* competitive games with skill-matched playing partners

Competitive Level. Students advance their skills through:

* instruction from Dr. Imre Toth, US Master of Postal Chess
* strategy exercises, and
* state-level tournament participation

Entrance fee is $2 per session per player.
